But #fitspo is totally about appreciating the hard work and dedication that people put towards their body. It’s got nothing to do with promoting a skewed and unattainable beauty ideal for women. It’s certainly not about being sexually appealing to straight men. Nope, nothing like that at all - We’re just admiring their health!

Yes, that is the entire point.
The #fitspo community claims to appreciate health and strength, but they’re more than happy to edit photos in order to make women more sexually appealing and worthy of their attention, then share those photos as though they were real. #Fitspo has nothing to do with respecting someone’s accomplishments and everything to do with setting up beauty standards that no woman is capable of attaining, not even the women that we’re praising.
The edited photos frequently show up on fitness blogs, over and over and over again. It took hours to hunt down their originals. That’s the entire point.
